Founded in June 2008, PolicySpot is the Web-based policy document management app that helps individuals and businesses manage their insurance documents. Although our product was officially released in 2008, PolicySpot was created nearly 8 years prior by the team at Horizon Platform. Unhappy with the policy issuance available at that time, PolicySpot was created with the purpose of offering a safe secure place to store insurance documents. Essentially, we saw a need for an issuance that paid special attention to statistics and that was designed for the agent experience. Implementing the social network framework into a secure environment to share documents is what it is all about.
Product
PolicySpot, the Web-based software app, is based on the core function of creating and managing a policy's important documents. A policy can be big or small, personal or business. Once a policy is created, you add shares to the policy who gain instant access to it via the Web. Within a policy, there are tons of features and functions that can be done, such as creating and managing shares, events on the policy wall, and discussions. PolicySpot keeps you up-to-date on all your policies and stores everything in one place, that is always accessible, secure, and backed up.
Technology
Our goal is to reduce complexity by keeping PolicySpot lightweight, intuitive, and fast. By utilizing the latest Web technologies, we have virtually eliminated page refreshing and clicks; increasing interactive responsiveness and guaranteeing a fast and efficient experience. PolicySpot also offers customization. Soon you can upload your own logo, create your own custom announcement, and even email your clients to suit your marketing needs. PolicySpot is the best looking app on the market and our platform is flexible enough to give you plenty of options and features as we grow into the future.
Privacy, safety, and security
PolicySpot uses the highest level of security available on all accounts at all times. Data that is transferred between our servers and your computer is protected using a 256-bit encrypted SSL certificate and our servers are hosted with AWS and DigitalOcean in a SAS 70 Type II-compliant datacenter, where they are constantly monitored and reside behind firewalls, anti-virus protection, and intrusion detection services for additional security. Data is backed up nightly (including all databases) in case of an emergency and can be restored within a few hours if problems arise.
